I think it's time I write down my vision for my life. I'm doing it in present-tense, as if it's already happened.
I'm done with massage school! I did awesome on the licensing exam because I've worked so hard on studying anatomy and practicing massage. I have a great job in a nearby resort town. The commute is long, but I love it because I'm driving my 2008 black Nissan Titan truck, with a phenomenal sound system hooked up.
I give about 20-25 massages/week at my job, and my private practice usually adds an additional 5-8 massages/week. It leaves me with plenty of time to pursue hobbies. I'm able to go bouldering several times a week, as well as go to the gym at least 3 times/week. I'm taking a martial arts class for fun one night/week. I have enough time and resources for making cool crafts and completing a lot of sewing projects. The Associate has been able to study a lot more and do more research and shadowing (and relaxing a little bit!) now that he doesn't need to work full time. Massage school was the best choice I've made so far. I loved it and I love how it has positively changed my life.
SO there it is--half of my vision. My private practice will ultimately be a much bigger part of it, but initially I don't actually want a huge private practice.
